Taxi Software Survey Results

A few weeks I’ve conducted a survey about the software my readers are using. Today I want to share its results with you.

Just  as  I expected,  there  is  nothing  on the market that users are
really  happy  with.  This means that if you decide to choose software
from the list below, chances are there still will be bugs and issues.

I am not going to list all the positives for every software. They have
their own websites and salespeople for that.

What I am going to do is give you a list with typical negatives and an
overall score.

The scores are obviously very subjective as someone may
have  been  in  the good mood and gave his software a 7 even not being
very  happy with it and someone may have given theirs a 6 because they
were  in  the  bad mood. Even though we evened the scores out because we
did  get  a  number  of  responses,  the scores  are  still  far  from being
objective. This being said, here is the list:

Icabbi: Proving to be slow and expensive. 3 out of 10

My Taxi Ride: Very fast and reliable to dispatch but lacking a lot of modern features and integrations to keep up with competition such as uber, grabcar, easy taxi, etc. 6 out of 10.

Logistrics Taxi: slow, drivers often seem to lose orders. 8 out of 10

Taxi Caller: It has a few bugs and quirks. It wont let us export our calls into a usable spreadsheet for a mailing list, or see appointments made longer than 30 days in advance, but it does allow us to dispatch out of the car using the driver app. 5 shifts out of the 14 in a week we have different drivers dispatching out of the cars. Oh and you cant edit the calls from the driver app, only the computer app. 7 out of 10

Diplomat: really bad support. 5 out of 10

Dashride: very raw uber clone. 6 out of 10.

Gatalabs: Negatives: there is no free trial so we didn’t have the chance to use it first, there is a 2-year contract, there is virtually nothing intuitive about it. Multiple clicks are needed for many things that could be visually accomplished with some foresight. they do not provide a list of their other taxi companies that use this. The reason I didn’t go lower is their customer service is always available, they are constantly making improvements, their consumer app seems well done, their driver app works on both iphone and android. 6 out of 10

Autocab ghost: Simple to use but frustrating at times also quite expensive. 8 out of 10

    I have tried several of the listed software. We are in the process of moving from LOGISTRICS, which is super easy to use, has a great deal of detailed reporting. We have never had a driver lose an order, but they can accidentally complete the order by mistake. Logistrics does not have a consumer APP, so we have to move to other system.
