…you are a Republican and you are on Fox and an anchor basically tells you that what you yourself do directly contradicts to what you are “selling” to people.
But wait… Paul Ryan doesn’t know it or get it.

“In saying that you would accept the Speakership, Mr. Speaker, you said that you wouldn’t take the job if it interferes with your family time, which has opened up a national conversation about the importance of spending time with your family,” host John Roberts began.
“And there are many people in this country that would like to see you make your first priority legislation that gives people the backing of the federal government so that they can have time with their family. Would you make that one of your first priorities?”
Paul Ryan refused to support any legislation would give American workers the same time to spend with their own families, calling such a thing an “entitlement:”
“I don’t think people asked me to be Speaker so that I can take more money from hardworking taxpayers to create some new federal entitlement. But I think people want to have members of Congress who represent them, that are like them. Don’t you want your member of Congress to be a citizen legislator who lives with you among you, who has your own kinds of concerns, who wants to spend time with his children on Saturdays and Sundays?” he asked.

I am writing to you about this because Paul Ryan actually reminded me of a client of mine. Paul Ryan thinks that it’s okay for him to spend tons of time with his family, but when others want to do so, it’s “entitlement.”
This client of mine invested in a few of my trainings and then came back asking for more help. One of my assistants explained him what he needed. The client said he’ll have the money to pay us in a few days. He agreed to get in touch with my assistant and handle everything on a certain date. We never heard back from the guy.
Now guess what the biggest problem in his taxi business was.
According to him, people working for him were completely unreliable and never kept their word! (Accordingly, the product we recommended for him was Manage Your Taxi Business Effectively)
This is what I see with my clients all the time. They want their employees to do one thing, but they themselves always do the opposite. While politicians can get away with it, usually for a little, it just doesn’t work this way in business.
So, whatever problems you are having with employees, start with looking in the mirror and ask yourself: “Am I sure I am not guilty?”
Here’s another interesting thing about how dumb Paul Ryan is.
You can see it here: “Don’t you want your member of Congress to be a citizen legislator who lives with you among you, who has your own kinds of concerns, who wants to spend time with his children on Saturdays and Sundays?” he asked.
Here’s my answer to this: No, I don’t. I don’t care where my member of Congress lives. I don’t care if he spends time with his children. I want a member of Congress who works like a dog for my interests and makes sure he delivers on the things he promised to get elected.
…just like the clients of your taxi service don’t care much about your troubles and care mostly about getting a car when they need it.
PS In case you are curious about my political views, I consider myself to be philosophically Republican. My views are to the right, yet I feel I must add the word “philosophically,” because practically, when looking at actual Republican politicians, I wouldn’t trust most of them to run a Dairy Queen in Indiana.
